Hastelloyc-4 (N06455) hastelloy alloy is an austenite low carbon nickel-molybdenum - chromium alloy.The main differences between Nicrofer6616hMo and other alloys with similar chemical compositions developed earlier are the low carbon, silicon, iron and tungsten contents.The chemical composition in the 650-1040 ℃ show excellent stability, improve the ability of resistance to intercrystalline corrosion, under the condition of appropriate manufacturing can avoid the edge line corrosion sensitivity and weld heat affected zone of corrosion.
Features:
Hastelloy C-4 has outstanding high-temperature stability, and has excellent resistance to stress-corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1040℃. It has exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments, including hot contaminated mineral acids, solvents, chlorine and chlorine contaminated media (organic and inorganic), formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, and seawater and brine solutions.
Applications:
Chemical processing involving wet chlorine, hypochloric acid, hydrochloric acid, acetic acid and acetic anhydride; flue gas scrubber systems; pickling operations; and electro-galvanizing.

5. Hastelloyc-4 (N06455) hastelloy alloy gold processing performance:
5.1. Hastelloyc-4 alloy processing and heat treatment: hastelloyc-4 alloy can be manufactured and processed through traditional production process.
5.2. Hastelloyc-4 hastelloy alloy heating: keep the workpiece clean and pollution-free before and during heat treatment.
In the process of heat treatment can't contact with sulfur, phosphorus, lead and other low melting point metal, or Nicrofer6616hMo alloy will become fragile, attention should be paid to remove such as marking paint, temperature indicating paint, crayons, lubricating oil, fuel and other dirt.
The lower the sulfur content in the fuel, the better. The sulfur content in natural gas should be less than 0.1%, and the sulfur content in heavy oil should be less than 0.5%.Electric furnace heating is a good choice, because electric furnace can accurately control temperature, furnace gas clean.If the furnace gas of gas furnace is pure enough, also can choose.The furnace gas of reheating furnace is suitable to be neutral to micro-reducing, so it should avoid the fluctuation between oxidizing and reducing, and the heating flame cannot be burned directly to the workpiece.
5.3, HastelloyC - 4 hartz alloy hot working: HastelloyC - 4 hot working temperature range of 1080 ℃ ~ 900 ℃, the cooling way for fast cooling water or other way.In order to ensure the best anticorrosion performance, solid solution heat treatment should be carried out after thermal processing.
5.4. Hastelloyc-4 alloy cold processing: the workpiece should be in a solid solution heat treatment state during cold processing, and the processing hardening rate of hastelloyc-4 is greater than that of austenitic stainless steel, so the processing equipment should be selected.Intermediate annealing should be used in cold rolling.If the deformation amount of cold rolling is more than 15%, the workpiece needs secondary solid solution treatment.

Hastelloyc-4 has been widely used in most chemical fields and high temperature environments.
Typical applications: flue gas desulfurization system, acid washing and acid recycling plant, acetic acid and agro-chemical production, titanium dioxide production (chlorine method), electroplating, etc.
